UNICEF headquarters in Aden city was subjected to gunshots by armed elements of the provincial security director, Shallal Shae’.
Local sources said that Shae’ soldiers attacked the building with bullets, in Khor Maksar, and forced the staff to leave the headquarters.
The gunmen fired heavily at the gate, but the attack did not result in civilian casualties, according to sources.
The sources explained that the cause of the attack is the role of the organization in monitoring the abuses carried out by the UAE forces in the city of Aden in particular, and in the south in general, but the gunmen took the flag of the Republic of Yemen over the building as an excuse to justify their attack.
Some foreign organizations working in Yemen have indicated that they would leave the city, if these hostile practices continue, by those who call themselves security men.
