Bahraini court sentences four minors to prison

A Manama court reportedly sentenced four Bahraini minors to lengthy prison terms on Thursday. 

 

 

 

A Manama court reportedly sentenced four Bahraini minors to lengthy prison terms on Thursday. 

 

It isn’t clear what exactly the four were convicted on but Bahraini online activists are reporting that each received a 4-year prison sentence over “politically motivated” charges. 

 

The youths have been identified as Sayed Ali Taha, Muntathar Ali Al-Rayes, Sayed Murtada Sadiq and Sayed Ahmad Mousa. 

 

Rights groups have repeatedly accused Manama of jailing Bahraini minors without proper cause and then subjecting them to ill-treatment in detention.
