Islamic Studies to be founded in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

The Council of State has announced the establishment of Muslim studies in the Faculty of Theology in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, after finding legal the appropriate presidential decree by the Ministry of Education.

 

 

The Council of State has announced the establishment of Muslim studies in the Faculty of Theology in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, after finding legal the appropriate presidential decree by the Ministry of Education.

The direction of Muslim studies will begin in the academic year of 2016-2017. 

Members of the Council of State said that the establishment of the Muslim studies direction “functions with the facilitation of the alumni of the Madrasa in Thrace, to complete their studies in Theology in the tertiary education and with the need of an inter-religious dialogue.”
