Suicide Bombers Attack Borno Mosque, One Dead, Many Injured

Despite the efforts to curb the activities of Boko Haram terrorist in the northeastern Nigeria, two suicide bombers stormed a mosque in Sulimanti ward of Maiduguri, the Borno state capital this morning. Many were reportedly injured but a bomber was the only death casualty at the scene of the incident, report says.

Many were reportedly injured but a bomber was the only death casualty at the scene of the incident, report says.

According to sources, the two male suicide bombers arrived at the mosque but one of them ran away without detonating himself. The explosion occurred a few metres from the Masalacin Kofar Shehu Councilor mosque where Muslim faithful were performing their morning prayers. Members of the Civilian Joint Task Force later arrived to assess the situation.
