Cameras to be installed in mosques to monitor Muslims

Azerbaijani mosques will be equipped with surveillance cameras

 

In the near future, Azerbaijani mosques will be equipped with surveillance cameras.

According to AZ, the statement was declared by the deputy chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, Sayyad Salahli.

Salahli supposedly noted that the main purpose of the installation is the “to prevent the unpleasant and illegal acts and to provide the security for visitors.” However, the main aim of the installation is to track Muslims and monitor their movement in and out of the mosque.
