Police in Azerbaijan, particularly in the eastern village of Nardaran, continue preventing followers of Ahlul Bait, peace be upon them, from visiting the shrine of Lady RaheemaKhatoun, sister of Imam Redha, peace be upon them, and also prohibiting them from holding congregational prayers inside the holy courtyard.

Every day, crowds of Shia devotees visit the holy shrine of Lady Raheema, peace be upon her, and hold Husseini rituals and religious ceremonies.

Shia rights groups expressed their concern over the situation of Shias in Azerbaijan since the government does not allow any independent human rights organization to operate and investigate in that country.
