Quran recitation competitions planned for kids in India

The United Forum for Quranic Studies in India’s Andhra Pradesh will conduct competitions in recitation of the Holy Quran for children aged below 12 on February 14, 2016 to promote study and implementation of the principles pronounced in the holy text.

According to reports, the competitions were being organized for the third consecutive year. The forum would conduct competitions at various places in Krishna, East and West Godavari, Guntur, and Prakasam districts for the convenience of participants. The candidates selected there would participate in the semi-finals scheduled to be organized in the city. About 200 participants would participate in the semi-finals and 30 students would be selected for finals, the reports added.
