Shia Pilgrims in Najaf ahead of Arbaeen

Center for the Hearing Impaired plans to organize mourning ceremonies

Shia pilgrims in the holy city of Najaf are preparing to march towards Karbala ahead of Arbaeen, the 40th day after Ashura, which marks the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
Meanwhile, groups of Shias from around the world have joined thousands of other Shia Muslims walking from the border regions of Iraq towards Karbala to attend mourning rituals on Arbaeen. They will come together this Wednesday in the city that is home to the holy shrines of Imam Hussein, and his brother, al-Abbas, peace be upon them, to commemorate Arbaeen.
