Annual Quran contest held in Basra southern Iraq

The competition was organized by the Basra-based al-Nour al-Mubin Quranic institute

 

The 8th edition of Alef-Laam-Meem Quran Competition was held in Basra, Southern Iraq.

According to reports, 65 individuals attended the contest which featured two categories, recitation and memorization of the Quran (at different levels). 

The competition was organized by the Basra-based al-Nour al-Mubin Quranic institute.

A number of regional Quran experts, among them Qassem al-Maliki, Heydar Abdul Sattar, ali Awad, and Ali Abdul Hadi, made up the competition’s board of judges.
