The Iraqi Minister of Health announced the extraction of 470 bodies in a mass grave of military base Speicher in Tikrit.

The victims were killed at the hands of Islamist terrorists last year.

The armed terrorists belonging to the so-called “Islamic State”, and other group loyal to it have abducted hundreds of young men, most of them Shias from Speicher base outside Tikrit.

 In the meantime, heavy fighting is still continuing between the Iraqi army forces supported by the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) on one hand and the militants of the Islamic State organization in Salahuddin province.

Iraqi army says it is waging now with the support of the PMU and tribal militants military operations to liberate the city of Ramadi, located about 105 kilometres from Baghdad.
