Imam Shirazi World Foundation issues a statement on the recent events in Iraq

The Imam Shirazi World Foundation issued a statement regarding the recent tragic events occurring in a number of Iraqi provinces. 

 

The Imam Shirazi World Foundation issued a statement regarding the recent tragic events occurring in a number of Iraqi provinces. 

In its statement, the Foundation called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint and not be dragged into violence but rather counter-violence and raise the slogan of peacefulness. 

It also called for accountability for the perpetrators who killed the demonstrators. In its statement, the Foundation called on the three presidencies in Iraq to enable the people to exercise their rights, listen to the demands of the people and implement them. 

“Any demonstrator or citizen who came out to demand his right to live in dignity and freedom holds perpetrators accountable for the killings, oppression and impunity, and the judiciary should do its role in achieving justice for the victims,” added the Foundation.
