Shias around the world are celebrating the birth anniversary of Imam Ali al-Redha, peace be upon him. 

 

 

Shias around the world are celebrating the birth anniversary of Imam Ali al-Redha, peace be upon him. 

Celebrations are being held in the holy shrines, Islamic centers, mosques and Husseiniyahs in Muslim as well as non-Muslim countries to remember and preserve the Ahlulbayt school of thought.

In addition, houses are being decorated and gifts are being bought to create festive atmospheres for the auspicious occasion. 

Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Redha is the eighth Imam and his holy shrine is located in Mashhad, Iran.
