Shia missing persons families hold demonstration at youm-e-Ali procession

The families and supporters of missing Shia Muslims held a demonstration during Youm-e-Ali, peace be upon him, mourning procession of 21 Ramadan to protest against the enforced disappearance of their bread-earners across the Pakistani cities that commemorated the anniversary.

Rashid Rizvi of Missing Shias Release Committee led the protesters who included wives, mothers and children of the missing Shia Muslims.

The protesters were carrying banners, placards and portraits of their missing relatives. They also raised slogans demanding immediate release of the missing Shias.

They lamented that bread-earners of Shia families were taken into illegal and undeclared custody without any charge against them.

They said that their detention has cost dearly to their elderly parents, children and wives.

The demonstrated families demanded that the state authorities are responsible for their poverty and hunger and for all of their sufferings.
