Powerful blast rocks Shia district

A powerful blast rocked a district in Syria’s Central province of Homs, leaving an unknown number of casualties.

 

The Syrian national television reported that the blast, carried out via a booby-trapped vehicle, rocked the Shia district of Zahra in Homs.

Meanwhile, the TV aired footage of the blast site, showing scenes of destruction and casualties.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs and terrorists against both the army and civilians.
