Saudi security forces have reportedly killed three people during a raid on a Shia-populated region in the country’s east.
The attack happened when government forces raided Sayhat neighbourhood in the village of al-Awamiyah, in the country’s Qatif region.
Gun shots could also be heard during the attack and a number of cars were set on fire. According to reports, Saudi forces have blocked all roads to the village and stopped humanitarian aid from reaching the area.
No details have been released on the reason behind the attack. Qatif region has been the scene of peaceful protests since 2011.
