The Kuwaiti National Assembly will consider in its session scheduled for Tuesday, April 11, several issues, notably the request to lift the immunity of the member Mohammed Hayef in the case filed by Grand Ayatollah Shirazi representative Sheikh Abdul Redha Maash.

Sheikh Maash complained that the defendant had tweeted in a manner that shames the complainer’s honor and affects his dignity.

The committee has agreed to the request to lift the immunity of the member Mohammed Hayef.

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi representative Sheikh Redha Maash said that the malicious tweets were based on sectarian hate, and that he is full of hope that his rights will be taken by the Kuwaiti law.

Kuwaiti lawyer Ali al-Ali said 35 of the tweeters had been summoned in the Kuwaiti prosecution and the immunity of Mohammed Hayef is expected to be lifted in the case filed against him.
