Pakistani Shiite police killed while guarding Mosque

Unknown motorcyclists shot and martyred a Shiite police standing guard at an imambargah (Shiite place for mourning) in Bannu Bazar area of Kohat on Wednesday.

 

 

Unknown motorcyclists shot and martyred a Shiite police standing guard at an imambargah (Shiite place for mourning) in Bannu Bazar area of Kohat on Wednesday.

Eyewitnesses said two takfiri men on a motorcycle came to Imambargah Rizwaya, one of them disembarked and came to the officer and started talking with him. Then suddenly, he pulled a pistol and fired three shots, killing him on the spot. The martyr was identified as Raza Ali.

As the incident took place at about 11am, it caused fear among the Shia businessmen because the area is among the most sensitive localities of the district.
