Syrian Forces liberate Sayyida Sakinah Shrine in Darayya

Syrian forces established full control over Darayya, a besieged suburb of the Syrian capital of Damascus, liberating all areas in the city including the holy shrine of Sayyida Sakinah, peace be upon her, the daughter of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

 

 

Syrian forces established full control over Darayya, a besieged suburb of the Syrian capital of Damascus, liberating all areas in the city including the holy shrine of Sayyida Sakinah, peace be upon her, the daughter of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

According to Awqat al-Shaam website, the army and popular resistance forces liberated the shrine, which was destroyed by the ISIS terrorist group.

The sacred place had been under ISIS occupation for some 15 months.
