The Grand Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpaygani said that the rituals of Tatb`er and beating one’s back with chains are permissible.
Answering the question on the ruling of Tatb`er on his official account on Instagram, his Eminence replied that Tatb`er is permissible as long as it doesn’t hurt the body.
It is to mention that the office of Grand Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpaygani has launched the account on Instagram starting from October 15 under the title of Ashura Jurisprudence to answer the questions about the rulings of different Husseini rituals practiced during the month of Muharram.
