8th of Shawwal marks 89th anniversary of destruction of Jannat al-Baqi’ by Saudi Wahhabi crime

Every year this tragic event is remembered by Shia Muslims

 

The 8th of Shawwal marks the89th anniversary the destruction of  Madinah’s Jannat al-Baqi’ cemetery by the Saudi Wahhabi regime.
Baqi’ refers to the mausoleums of the great shrines of Madinah which are the relics of an important part of the history of Islam. During the fourteen and a half centuries which have passed, these monuments have been constant reminders of the great days and each one are important evidences of the era of the introduction of Islam to the world and the divine mission of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his progeny. 
The eighth day of Shawwal is the day when the destruction of Jannat al-Baqi’s holy shrines at the hands of the Wahhabis. 
Every year this tragic event is remembered by Shia Muslims as it is a day of sorrow and tragedy for the Holy Household, peace be upon them, and is considered as an attack on the history of Islam.
