Najaf Province announces the number of mourners in the martyrdom of Imam Ali 

Najaf province announced on Monday the number of mourners that participated in the commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, noting the entry of 30 thousand foreigners to the province.

“The security plan for the martyrdom of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, succeeded with the participation of 23 thousand security elements,” said Najaf governor Louay al-Yasiri at a press conference, noting the support from Baghdad and the neighboring provinces.

“More than three million visitors entered the province in three days,” he said. 

The Directorate of Public Municipalities announced yesterday that the cadres of the Municipality of Najaf provide services to more than three million visitors during the pilgrimage to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in Najaf.
