‘Women after Ashura’ theme of int’l conference in Iraq

An international women’s conference is planned to be held in Iraq with “Women after Ashura; A Glance at Contemporary Challenges” as its main theme. 

 

An international women’s conference is planned to be held in Iraq with “Women after Ashura; A Glance at Contemporary Challenges” as its main theme. 

According to the website of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine, the Women Media Center has issued the call for sending papers to the international program.

It will be held in April 2019 on the sidelines of the 15th edition of “Rabee’-ul-Shahadah” international festival in the holy city of Karbala.

The conference will include intellectual, social and jurisprudential categories to investigate various aspects of the main theme.

The women willing to participate in the program can email their papers to [email protected] by March 1, 2019.

Women’s role in fighting intellectual deviations, taking the women in Ashura incident as role-models, duties of men and women based on the achievements of Imam Hussein’s (AS) uprising, women’s role in maintaining social security according to the teachings of the Ashura uprising, and management of crisis after wars based on the stances taken by women in the Ashura event. are among the themes of the conference.

Rabee’-ul-Shahadah international festival will be organized by the Astans of the holy shrines of Hazrat Abbas (AS) and Imam Hussein (AS) on the occasion of the birthday anniversaries of the infallible Imam (AS) in the month of Sha’ban.
