Millions of pilgrims are taking part in the annual Arbaeen march in Iraq, many of them beginning the journey on feet from the holy city of Najaf.

 

Millions of pilgrims are taking part in the annual Arbaeen march in Iraq, many of them beginning the journey on feet from the holy city of Najaf.

Many Shia pilgrims visit the holy shrine of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in Najaf all year long, but especially during the Arbaeen season.

The holy shrine has employed all its capacities to serve the huge number of pilgrims visiting the mausoleum.
