‘Rabee’-ul-Shahadah’ Int’l Festival planned in Karbala

The 14th edition of the “Rabee’-ul-Shahadah” (spring of martyrdom) international festival will be organized by the custodianships of the holy shrines of Imam Hussein al-Abbas, peace be upon them,  in Karbala, Iraq, starting from April 20.

 

The 14th edition of the “Rabee’-ul-Shahadah” (spring of martyrdom) international festival will be organized by the custodianships of the holy shrines of Imam Hussein al-Abbas, peace be upon them,  in Karbala, Iraq, starting from April 20.

According to Al-Kafeel website, the cultural-religious festival is annually held on the birthday anniversary of Imam Hussein, al-Abbas, and Imam Sajjad, peace be upon them.

A group of researchers, religious and academic figures and intellectuals from different countries will participate in the festival.

The international event will include Quranic sessions, poetry reading and literary sessions, book fairs, research activities as well as special programs for women.

It will continue until April 24, according to the organizers. 

The organizing committee of the festival held a session earlier this week to investigate the preliminary measures needed to be taken before the international program.

 The 13th edition of the festival was held from April 30 to May 2 in the holy city of Karbala.
