Karbala holds joint conference to discuss the security plan for the month of Muharram

Leaders of the Middle Euphrates Operations and Karbala Police have organized a joint security conference in the presence of all directors of the security services in order to discuss the security plan for Ashura, as part of the early preparations for the special pilgrimage.

Karbala Police spokesperson Colonel Alaa al-Ghanemi said, “The plan was discussed with all the concerned security departments in order to find out the pros and cons of the previous plans and how to deal with them.”

“All of the roles have been assigned and confirmed to the army, Federal Police, the PMU, the holy shrine’s volunteers, transport efforts and logistical support by the local government, army aviation, the Ministry of Transport, engineering and intelligence efforts, explosives control, k9, civil defense, communications and cameras, in addition to the tribal leaders to ensure the success of this holy visit,” added al-Ghanemi.
