Maytham al-Tammar’s new holy grille arrives to Kufa

A new holy grille is slated to be installed in the holy shrine of Imam Ali’s companion, Maytham al-Tammar, peace be upon him.

 

A new holy grille is slated to be installed in the holy shrine of Imam Ali’s companion, Maytham al-Tammar, peace be upon him.

Sheikh Khlifa al-Jawhar, the secretary-general of the holy shrine, said that the new holy grille was received from the Iranian borders to be transported to Maytham al-Tammar Holy Shrine, passing throughthe Shrine of Imam Ali, peace be upon him.

A ceremony was held to celebrate the holy grille’s arrival attended by a number of holy shrines’ representatives, Shia Endowment representatives, and masses of the Ahl al-Baytlovers.

Al-Jawhar added that the manufacturing process took two years to be accomplished; nevertheless, the holy grille is 5x4x5m3, and it isinlaid with gold, silver, and copper.

It is worth mentioning that the opening ceremony will be held on Seyyeda Zainab’s birth anniversary on the fifth of Jammada Alawal.
