Al-Askariyain Holy Shrine has marked the sorrowful event of the 2006 terrorist attack on the 23rd of the holy month of Muharram.

 

 

Al-Askariyain Holy Shrine has marked the sorrowful event of the 2006 terrorist attack on the 23rd of the holy month of Muharram.

Sheikh Abdul Ghafar al-Maliki, holy shrine’s Religious Affairs manager, told Shiawaves that Al-Askariyain Holy Shrine is reviving the sorrowful event in which the holy domes of the tenth and eleventh imams, peace be upon them, were bombed on the 23rd of Muharram.

The commemoration ceremony was attended by a number of public and religious figures and crowds of Ahl al-Bayt lovers, peace be upon them. 

The holy shrine held a photograph gallery portraying the shrine’s history and the sorrowful event in addition to a number of collections that remained after the heinous act.
