Iraqi Torah manuscript arrives

 The Iraqi “Manuscript” of the Torah reaches Tel Aviv after it was stolen from the Iraqi Museum during the USA invasion of Iraq in 2003.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that, the Iraqi manuscript of Torah has arrived in Israel, indicating that it has been restored and is now ready for daily prayers in Jerusalem.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry said in a press statement that “The Iraqi manuscript of Torah arrived today to the Foreign Ministry building from Kurdistan across Baghdad and Amman; it will be used for daily prayers there.”

Israeli Foreign Ministry indicated that the manuscript restoration process took seven months.
