Al-Ghadir book in the sunnah and literature

Ghadir is the title of an 11 volume book by ‘Allama Amini that proves and defends the successorship of Imam ‘Ali, peace be upon him, to the Prophet of Islam.

 

 

Ghadir is the title of an 11 volume book by ‘Allama Amini that proves and defends the successorship of Imam ‘Ali, peace be upon him, to the Prophet of Islam.

The author regards the Hadith al-Ghadir as the most authentic and mutawatir (numerously reported) narration from the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him.

To prove this, the author has compiled the narrations of this hadith from the Sunni books and scholars of the 14th/20th centuries to show the mutawatir nature of the hadith.

In addition to such numerous chains of narrations, the author extensively used poems from the Prophet’s companions to substantiate his case.
